Ginny graduated from New York University in 1988 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy. She started working for H&D Physical Therapy many years ago before moving on to open her own practice in the Upper West Side.
Since then, she has worked with a multitude of patient populations including pediatrics, sports medicine, orthopedics, and neurological disorders. Ginny’s work combines a strong focus on manual therapy, postural education, and core strengthening. Her hands-on techniques include, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, craniosacral therapy, and muscle energy techniques. Ginny has also learned specific skills based on the philosophies of the Feldenkrais Method, Tai Chi and Pilates. Utilizing all of these practices, Ginny can better treat injuries in a “whole-body” approach by addressing and facilitating different systems. In 2014, we were happy to welcome Ginny back to the H&D team! Ginny works out of our 46th and 82nd Street locations. In her spare time, Ginny enjoys spending time with her family.
Growing up in the Bay Area, Sara played a lot of sports and had a lot of sports injuries. Sara also had a lot of physical therapy, and got to know the school physical therapist. Inspired, she went to Boston University’s five-year physical therapy program, under which she earned the Bachelor of Science in Health Studies in 2002 and the Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2004. After working a few years, she then added the Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2007. Sara also became a personal trainer in 2003 and has certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Out in the real world, Sara has specialized in outpatient orthopedics since 2004, in practices located in Boston, San Francisco, and New York. She believes exercise, with a focus on core strengthening, is essential to full recovery and function. She is also trained in many specialized manual techniques, such as the Kaltenborn Method, Kinesotaping, and the Dontigy Mobilization Technique. In addition, Sara has educated many runners, both novice and elite, to develop effective training programs. While she’s not working, Sara loves to exercise, run, and snowboard. She also plays football and soccer for a charity league in Manhattan. Sara currently works at our 82nd Street location and other corporate sites.
